New Player Points System

With the introduction of a new points structure, we needed to embrace a new ratio for earning points.  In order to do this, your existing points balance needed to be adjusted.  In the old system, you earned points at a rate of 100 FPPs for every $1 generated in rake.  In the new system points are earned at 5.5 points for every $1 rake, using the dealt rake methodology.

Example:
If you have 1,500 FPPs in the old system, they will be converted into a total of 82.50 Player Points.

Earning Points
In Poker tournaments, you will earn 5.5 Player Points for each $1 USD paid in tournament fees.

For example, let's say you are playing an online poker tournament that costs $10+1 to get into.  $10 goes to the prize pool and $1 is the entry fee.  The $10 in the tournament does not count for calculating your Player Points.

For tournaments, we only look at the fee associated with the buy-in.  In this example, that is $1, and as you are awarded 5.5 PPs for every $1 in fees paid, you will earn 5.5 PPs.

What if the buy-in is less than $1?  Don't worry.  You will earn fractional PPs, too.

For example, in a real-money SnG with a $5+0.50 buy-in, you will earn 2.75 BPs (5.5 / 2 = 2.75 PPs).

In Poker cash games, you will earn Player Points for the rake taken from each hand.  Best of all, we use the Dealt Rake methodology to calculate your points.  That means everyone dealt into the hand shares equal credit for the rake.  It makes no difference if they play the hand or not.
