Horse racing fans from around the world will be betting if Justify can beat the field to collect the third and final jewel of the Triple Crown. The two-year old is listed at +110 to do just that.

Belmont Stakes Betting Favorite – Justify +110

Justify is everyone’s favorite to win the 2018 Belmont Stakes and for good reason.

“Right now, everything seems that it’s going smoothly,” said trainer Bob Baffert earlier this week. “Flesh-wise, he looks great. I’m very happy with the way he’s going.”

“We don’t train scared,” Baffert continued. “He has to go a mile and a half, and I want to make sure when I throw (jockey) Mike Smith on his back that he has a full tank of gas and his horse is ready. If he’s not ready, it doesn’t matter what Mike does.”

Belmont Stakes Smart Pick – Hofburg +450

The Preakness run took a lot out of Justify. He was a late starter in that race. That gives Belmont Stakes new second-favorite Hofburg a shot at spoiling a Triple Crown year after Audible was pulled from the race a few days ago.

Hofburg was a wise pick in the 2018 Derby, finishing a disappointing seventh, 8¾ lengths behind winner Justify. That led to trainer Billy Mott holding Hofburg out of the Preakness to focus on the Belmont.

"I’m pleased with what I’m seeing. He came out of the Derby in good order. We gave him an easy week after the Derby and after two weeks, we gave him his first work and today he had his second one," Mott said. "He’ll have another one next weekend and then go on down to Belmont and get familiar with his surroundings."

Hofburg has the edge in distance and is trained by a New Yorker. Mott will have this horse ready for a stakes race in his home-state. The trainer has one Belmont Stakes win with Drosselmeyer in 2010.

Belmont Stakes Long Shot Pick – Gronkowski +4000

Gronkowski is the epitome of a long shot bet. The three-year-old colt will be making his US debut after teasing us at the Kentucky Derby. He was the highest point earner in the European Road to the Kentucky Derby series. He missed that race because of slight infection and was transferred to new trainer Chad Brown who announced that Gronkowski came to him in “outstanding condition.”

The horse is named for New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski and has four wins in six starts in Britain, including England’s Burradon Stakes. The original Gronk bought a stake in his namesake earlier this year.

LeBron vs. Giannis Odds To Win NBA All-Star Weekend

2018 NBA Finals Odds

Here we go again!

It will be the Cleveland Cavaliers and the defending champion Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. Some are wondering if LeBron and co can even win a single game in this best-of-seven series?

2018 NBA Finals Odds updated

Game 3 in Cleveland on Wednesday, June 6th, 9 PM ET – GSW lead 2-0

Cavaliers 217½
Warriors -4½

Series Price:

Cavaliers +1440
Warriors -2700

Cleveland Vs Golden State Betting Analysis

Both squads survived Conference Final Game 7s on the road. The Cavaliers won at Boston on Sunday. The Warriors came from behind to beat a CP3-less Rockets on Monday to set up a shot at a repeat.

This could be Cleveland’s last shot at a title for a while. LeBron is leaving at the end of this season. The Indians have never shown any interest in a World Championship. And the Browns are the Browns.

LeBron has been an underdog in seven of his nine Finals appearances. He has won three titles. But he is averaging 41.3 minutes per game in the post-season and he was clearly gassed during stretches against the young Celtics. Does he have another miracle in the tank?

Open 5Dimes Account Now | View Live Odds Now

The only shot the Cavs have at winning more than a game in this series is if they slow down 2017 NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant. He single-handedly beat Cleveland in last season’s finals by scoring 35.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game. He is averaging 29.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists a game this postseason.

Who has the edge? Washington or Vegas?

The Vegas Golden Knights were barely a team a year ago. They opened the season as 500-1 long shots to win the Stanley Cup. The team is drawing some comparisons to Leicester City’s unlikely Premier League championship in 2015. Now Vegas is four wins away from sports glory and forever be remembered as the first expansion team to win a championship in their inaugural season.

“You have to have a healthy hockey team, and I think the biggest thing is we’ve won our series in four games, six games and five games,” said coach Gerard Gallant. “We had a lot of rest between series to heal up some minor injuries, and our team is fresh.

“There’s not too often you can say going into the Stanley Cup Final that your team is pretty fresh, and has very few minor injuries. Having time between series to get ready for the next one is a big part of having a chance to win.”

Standing in their way are the Washington Capitals who have been a mainstay atop the Eastern Conference for a better part of a decade but could never defeat their nemesis in the Pittsburgh Penguins. They won their third-straight division title, beat the aforementioned nemesis to reach their first East Final of the Ovechkin era, and are now in their first Stanley Cup Final since 1998.

"We’re going to the Stanley Cup Final," Ovechkin said after the Caps’ 4-0 Game 7 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday. "I think everybody is happy, but we still have unfinished … you know what I mean. I don’t know. I’m emotional right now. I think we’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time."

2018 Preakness Exotic Betting Picks

With a short field and two HEAVY favorites, Kentucky Derby winner Justify and runner-up Good Magic, you will have to get creative to cash in big on your 2018 Preakness picks. I am here to help you pick the right couple of horses to use in your Preakness exotic bets.

5Dimes’ Exacta Odds

  • Justify, Quip +967
  • Justify, Lone Sailor +1300
  • Justify, Sporting Chance +1478
  • Justify, Diamond King +1380
  • Justify, Good Magic +142
  • Justify, Tenfold +1600
  • Justify, Bravazo +1380
  • Good Magic, Quip +5700
  • Good Magic, Lone Sailor +8000
  • Good Magic, Sporting Chance +10500
  • Good Magic, Diamond King +8900
  • Good Magic, Tenfold 11700
  • Good Magic, Justify +429
  • Good Magic, Bravazo +8900

Now on to my 2018 Preakness Exotic betting picks!

Almost everyone will key all their exotic bets around Justify. Because of that, I’m going to bet against Justify in all my 2018 Preakness Stakes exotic betting picks.

I’m am picking the second Preakness favorite and Kentucky derby runner-up Good Magic as my key horse. I’ll play a $30 exacta with Good Magic over Justify. There’s no reason to reverse it. Yep, Justify should beat Good Magic. But, the majority of the public will bet the Justify/Good Magic exacta. A high percentage of smart bettors are going to bet Good Magic over Justify.

It is a smart play to bet smaller exactas with Good Magic over a couple of other horses. I recommend Quip and Tenfold. Quip could be sitting on a monster race. He’s a talented horse. Tenfold has a lot of upside. His fifth place finish in the Arkansas Derby wasn’t as bad as so many believe it was. Those exactas I’ll reverse for less

My trifecta ticket will key Good Magic in the top slot, Quip, Tenfold, and Diamond King in the place slot with Justify in the third slot. Diamond King could get place money if, which I hope, Justify is too tired to run better than third.

The final wager that I’m placing is a $1 superfecta. Again, I’m going to key Good Magic in the top slot and Justify in the third slot. I’m also putting Quip, Tenfold, and Diamond King in the place slot. I’m going All in the fourth slot.

It’s obvious that my strategy is to go against the 1/2 chalk, Justify. If Justify doesn’t show up, I could make out like a bandit. If Justify beats me, oh well. That’s horse racing!

2018 Preakness Odds & Expert Picks

2018 Preakness Odds & Picks

The 143rd Preakness Stakes’ eight-horse field (down from the 20-horse field at Churchill Downs a few weeks ago) is set! At the top of the fixed odds horse racing betting board is Kentucky Derby champ Justify. Also running in the Preakness after the Derby are Good Magic, Bravazo and Lone Sailor. Fresh faces at Pimlico include Quip, Sporting Chance, Diamond King and Tenfold.

At nine-and-a-half furlongs, it’s the shortest of the three Triple Crown legs. 5Dimes’ oddsmakers have updated the 2018 Preakness Stakes odds after yesterday’s draw.

What: 143rd Preakness Stakes
Where: Pimlico Race Course | Baltimore, MD
When: Saturday, May 19th, 2018
Post Time: 6:20 p.m. ET
TV Coverage: 5-7:15 p.m. ET

Odds & Picks To Win The Preakness Stakes

  1. Quip +2000
  2. Lone Sailor +3000
  3. Sporting Chance +4000
  4. Diamond King +3000
  5. Good Magic +350
  6. Tenfold +4000
  7. Justify -230
  8. Bravazo +2800

The Favorite: Justify -230

Justify drew the seventh post position for the Preakness. The Derby winner remains the heavy horse betting favorite to win the second leg of the Triple Crown. He gives trainer Bob Baffert a shot as his seventh Preakness title. If Justify wins at Pimlico Baffert has a shot at a second Triple Crown in four years. American Pharoah accomplished the feat in 2015. Baffert is also 4-0 in the Preakness with a Derby winner running.

The Smart Pick: Quip +2000

Quip shares owners with Justify. That should be enough to deserve a few bucks to be bet on him by race day! Why would an owner add a horse to challenge a possible Triple Crown winner? Do they think Quip is better equipped to handle the shorter distance? Quip turned in his final timed work for the 143rd Preakness on Sunday morning, breezing a half-mile in 48.20 seconds at Keeneland.

The Tampa Bay Derby winner and Arkansas Derby runner-up did draw into the first post position. The colt needs to avoid being rubbed out early by throttling his tactical speed out of the gate. A clean break is the only shot Quip has to stay ahead of the field and avoid the dreaded rail.

The Long Shot: Diamond King +3000

Diamond King is a long shot at the 2018 Preakness. After drawing fourth yesterday, Pimlico opened Diamond King at 30/1 to win the Preakness. He has four wins in six career starts, including the Federico Tesio at Laurel Park.

Trainer John Servis won the Preakness in 2004 with Smarty Jones. Jockey Javier Castellano won his second Preakness last year aboard Cloud Computing. Diamond King has to tools for an upset!

2018 Preakness Stakes

2018 Preakness Stakes

After winning a sloppy tracked Kentucky Derby easily from the No. 7 post, Justify (pictured) will attempt to rekindle his winning ways by staying in that spot for the Preakness. And he is the big favorite to win the second leg of the Triple Crown.

With a field of 20 thoroughbreds in Louisville, the Preakness will feature only eight runners. Check out the Preakness Stakes draw positions below. Betting odds included.
