Top 9 Football Games Of The Week

It’s Championship Week in College Football. Week 13 is kicking off in the NFL. There are nine games you need to mark on your calendar. Click here for live football odds.

Top 9 Football Games Of The Week

Thursday, November 29

New Orleans Saints -8 +110 vs. Dallas Cowboys
FOX/NFL Network, 8:20 PM ET
AT&T Stadium, Arlington

Both teams are coming off of Thanksgiving Day wins and have had a full week to prepare. New Orleans is one of the safest NFL bets this season. The Saints are 9-2 ATS and have covered the betting spread in nine straight. Plus they are undefeated on the road and have covered the spread in all three prime time games. On the flip side, Dallas has won three straight and are 6-1 ATS since 2011 in games the Cowboys have been a TD+ underdog.

Friday, November 30

No. 17 Utah vs. No. 10 Washington -5
Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, CA

Will Utah or Washington win the Pac-12 championship? The Huskies beat rival Washington State in the Apple Cup to claim the Pac-12 North title. The Pac-12 South champ Utes are coming off a five TD second half that powered them to a come from behind win over BYU.

Saturday, December 1

No. 9 Texas vs. No. 5 Oklahoma -7½
AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX

The Big-12 championship game features a rematch of the Red River Showdown. In the original, the Longhorns topped the Sooners 48-45. It won’t matter if this game will produce a playoff team or not, and it’s going to be a barn burner!

No. 4 Georgia vs. No. 1 Alabama -13
Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, GA

This just might the biggest college football game of the season. The SEC Championship game is a rematch of last year’s College Football Playoff National Championship! Alabama won that game 26-23 in OT. If that is not enough motivation for Georgia, then the disrespectful 13-point spread should be.

No. 21 Northwestern vs. No. 6 Ohio State -14
Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN

The Big-Ten Championship game just got a lot more exciting after Ohio State steamrolled the Wolverines. College football oddsmakers saw enough from the Buckeyes to install OSU as 14-point favorites over Northwestern. The Wildcats went 8-1 in Big Ten play and 0-3 non-conference games. Northwestern didn’t lose on the road, dropped all four games at home, went 0-4 against the spread as a favorite and 5-1-1 as an underdog.

Pittsburgh vs. No. 2 Clemson -26½
Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, NC

Will the 26.5-point underdog Pittsburgh Panthers shock the world and beat Clemson to win the ACC Championship? College football oddsmakers don’t think so and neither should you.

Sunday, December 2

Cleveland Browns vs. Houston Texans -4½
NRG Stadium, Houston

The Browns won on the road after losing 25 consecutive games away from Cleveland. Now they are 1-4 straight-up on the road in 2018 and a dismal 2-28 SU in their last 30 road games. Cleveland is 11-18-1 ATS during that span. Will the Browns win two road games in a row by beating Houston? The Texans are 4-0 SU and ATS against the Browns over the past decade.

Minnesota Vikings vs. New England Patriots -6
FOX, 4:25 PM ET
Gillette Stadium, Foxboro

The Minnesota Vikings are 11-7 SU and 14-4 ATS against AFC teams since hiring Mike Zimmer in 2014. The Vikings are also 5-2-1 ATS in their past eight are coming off a big 24-17 primetime win over the Packers. Now the Vikings jump from the frying pan in the fire in the form of the Foxboro. The New England Patriots 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS at home. They have also covered in six of their past eight games.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers -3 -125
NBC, 8:20 PM ET
Heinz Field, Pittsburgh

The Los Angeles Chargers are 4-1 ATS on the road this year. This week they are in Pittsburgh, making it the Bolts third game in the eastern time zone this season. L.A. is 2-0 SU and ATS in the previous two. The Steelers saw their six-game win streak come to an end at the hands of the Broncos. Pittsburgh is 5-1-1 ATS during that seven-game span. The Steelers are 12-1 SU and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 primetime games while the Chargers are just 2-8 SU and 4-5-1 ATS in their past ten night games.

Must Watch Football Thanksgiving Week

Thursday, November 22nd

Chicago Bears -4 vs. Detroit Lions
12:30 PM ET, CBS
Ford Field, Detroit

The two tangoed back in Week 10. The Bears led 26-7 at the half and won the game 34-22. The Lions are 4-1 straight up in the last five Turkey day tilts.

Washington vs. Dallas Cowboys -8½
4:30 PM ET, FOX
AT&T Stadium, Arlington

Alex Smith’s unfortunate injury last week puts backup QB Colt McCoy into Washington’s starter seat. The result was a 3-point swing. In the previous eight Thanksgiving Day games, the Cowboys are 3-5 straight-up. Washington has covered in five of the last six outings overall and nine of the past 11 in Dallas.

Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints -12½
8:20 PM ET, NBC
Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans

Two fast, pass-happy teams playing in a dome. The spread shot up from 10 after the Saints dismantling of the defending Super Bowl Champion Eagles last week. With the addition of LB Bruce Irvin, the Falcons D is improving, but no one can slow down Drew Brees.

In head-to-head meetings, the underdog has covered in eight of the past ten games.

Friday, November 23rd

No. 6 Oklahoma Sooners at No. 12 West Virginia Mountaineers -1
Milan Puskar Stadium, Morgantown, WV

Since becoming conference rivals, Oklahoma is 6-0 straight up and 4-2 against the spread against the Mountaineers. Four of those wins were by double digits. Last year the Sooners won this matchup by a 59-31 score.

West Virginia has been favored by as much as 3-points. Early today the game was a Pick.

No. 16 Washington Huskies at No. 7 Washington State Cougars -3
8:30 PM, FOX
Martin Stadium, Pullman, WA

The Apple Cup! What you’ve never heard of it? This season it will become a household name as both Evergreen State squads are in the top 20. With a win, Washington State can get a step closer to the Pac-12 Championship, and possibly the College Football Playoff.

Saturday, November 24

No. 4 Michigan Wolverines -4 at No. 10 Ohio State Buckeyes
Ohio Stadium, Columbus, OH

This is the biggest game of the 2018 slate of Thanksgiving week games. While both teams are in the top 10, they are headed in different directions. Ohio State won’t be favored for the first time in 51 games and has covered the betting spread once in their last seven. Michigan is steamrolling all challengers and gunning for a College Football Playoff birth.

The last time the Wolverines were favored over the Buckeyes the year was 2011 and 8-point favorite Michigan won 40-34. That was the last time Ohio State lost in this series.

The winner of this game will atop the Big Ten and will face Northwestern for the Big Ten title.

Auburn Tigers at No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide 24½
3:30 PM ET, CBS
Bryant-Denny Stadium, Tuscaloosa, AL

The Iron Bowl isn’t expected to be close, but does Auburn have a shot at covering the colossal 24.5-point spread? Alabama isn’t only 7-0 against SEC teams this season, the Crimson Tide are 7-0 having won just one of those games by fewer than 24 points.

Sunday, November 25th

Cleveland Browns vs. Cincinnati Bengals -3 -120
Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati

The two AFC North teams face-off for the first time this season. We will see the two face-off again two days before Christmas. Cleveland is coming off a bye week and a victory over the Falcons. Cincinnati has won once in five weeks.

Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings -4
8:20 PM ET, NBC
U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis

Two struggle NFC North foes go head-to-head on Sunday Night Football this week. Minnesota is second in the division, one game ahead of the Packers. With winter on the horizon, this is when Aaron Rodgers is most dangerous.

Monday, November 26

Tennessee Titans vs. Houston Texans
8:15 PM ET, ESPN
NRG Stadium, Houston

This game will go a long way to deciding who rules the AFC South. Houston can boost it’s two-game lead in the division, while Tennessee will need to win to stay in the playoff hunt. QB Marcus Mariota is hurt. Keep an eye on the injury report.
