5Dimes’ World Series Betting Favorite – Yankees +410

If my math is right, the Yankees are on pace to win 111 games this season. That’s more than any other MLB team this season. It doesn’t stop there. The record for home runs in a season belongs to the 1997 Mariners with 264. These Yankees are on pace for 268.

The post-Jeter and A-Rod Yankees are the real deal and will be for the foreseeable future.

2018 World Series Smart Bet – Nationals +775

Yes, the Washington Nationals have been inconsistent this season, but stay with me. After starting off 4-0, the Nats stumbled below .500 for the better part of April. It took until the middle of May for the team to bounce back.

Extended stays on the DL by all-stars Daniel Murphy and Ryan Zimmerman combined could have been back breakers. But the Nats are second in the National League East and the NL. With a full and healthy lineup, this team will turn heads come October.

2018 World Series Long Shot – Dodgers +1550

Jump on the Dodgers now. Lefty ace Clayton Kershaw is ready to return to the rotation. He threw a three-inning simulated game at Wrigley Field on Monday. Kershaw then pronounced himself ready to take a turn in the rotation. It could take up to a week for the ace to return to the mound for the Dodgers with a Triple-A warm-up stint in Oklahoma City.

Kershaw hasn’t pitched in a live game situation since May 31. He left the game that night after five innings when his back tightened up. That was his first game back from left bicep tendinitis that put him on the DL on May 6.
