5Dimes oddsmakers have released the NBA betting odds to win the Western Conference. Will the juggernaut Golden State Warriors make it to their fourth straight NBA finals? Or can the hungry Houston Rockets dethrone the defending NBA champs?
Golden State Warriors Vs Houston Rockets NBA Playoff Odds
At the beginning of the season NBA oddsmakers had picked the Warriors and Rockets facing off in the NBA Western Conference Finals. While the teams didn’t meet during the 2017 postseason, the Warriors won a five-game series in the first round of the 2016 playoffs.
Now here we are. On May 14th, 2018 the Dubs will be in Houston to face the Rockets in Game 1 of their best-of-seven series. Tip-off is scheduled at 9 PM ET.
“It’s been a while since we’ve started out a series on the road — you kind of forget that feeling,” Warriors forward Draymond Green said. “We got a couple of swings to go in there and take one. So, I’m looking forward to that for sure.”
With a boisterous home crowd, 5Dimes oddsmakers have installed the Rockets as 2-point favorites in Game 1. That’s as good as it gets for Houston. Golden State is favored to win this series at -160 and at -120 to repeat as champs. Houston is listed at +140 to win this series and at +225 to win the NBA title.
There has never been a series in my lifetime that has featured two offenses averaging more than 112 points per 100 possessions. During the regular season, the Warriors ranked first in offense at 112.24 points per 100. The Rockets were second at 112.23. For math junkies that equates to a difference of one bucket.
This matchup would make a glorious NBA finals series. Let’s hope it does not disappoint.
