Crawford vs Horn Odds & Analysis
5Dimes boxing oddsmakers have listed Terrence Crawford as a -700 favorite to win while Jeff Horn is a +500 underdog.
Why back Terrence Crawford?
He’s one of the very best pound-for-pound fighters on the planet. Terrence Crawford is undefeated for a reason. He can beat his opponents different ways. He works well behind his jab, he’s got power, and he has a close to iron chin. Crawford isn’t unbeatable. He’s close to unbeatable.
Why back Jeff Horn?
Horn was fantastic when upsetting Manny Pacquiao. He’s also the more natural welterweight. Horn, no doubt, will have trained to utilize his much bigger frame to keep Crawford off balance. It’s difficult to find a boxer with more heart than champion Jeff Horn.
Crawford vs Horn Analysis
It’s obvious that Jeff Horn has little to no chance in this fight. The truth is that Horn got lucky beating Pacquiao. Pacquiao has lost a step. But, he still consistently beat Jeff Horn to the punch.
In Horn’s 11-Round TKO victory over Gary Corcoran, Horn showed that he has learned some things. Nothing that he learned will help him keep this fight close. The problem Horn has in this battle is that he faces one of the Top 3 boxers on the planet.
Some have Crawford listed number 1 pound-for-pound. Crawford will run circles around Horn in this fight. It’s difficult to see how Horn comes close to landing more than a single punch in any exchange.
Because Horn can’t get to Crawford, Terrence could end this whenever he wishes. I suspect he’ll take his time.
