Burrow leapfrogs Tua, Trevor & Jalen as Favorite in Latest 2019 Heisman Trophy Odds

Joe Burrow of LSU is the new odds on betting favorite to win the Heisman Trophy.

Over the summer, Tua Tagovailoa (+400) and Trevor Lawrence (+800) were neck and neck across every sportsbook as the betting favorites to win the 2019 Heisman Trophy. But there is a new kid on the block, and his name is Joe Burrow (+350).

The LSU quarterback started the season as a +20000 betting long shot to win the Heisman. But after three weeks, Burrow leads the nation with an 83.3 completion percentage. He is second in the country with 1,122 passing yards. Plus Burrow sits one behind Tagovailoa and Washington State’s Anthony Gordon for the nation’s top passing touchdown mark.

Just as surprising as Burrow’s Heisman Trophy odds ascension is Lawrence’s sophomore slump. After last season’s championship run as a freshman, Lawrence was anointed as the future No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. However, he is No. 20 in the nation in passing yards. He’s tied for No. 30 overall in passing touchdowns. Clemson might be 3-0, but Lawrence has thrown for just five touchdown passes but also five interceptions.

Now, let’s take a closer look at the complete 2019 Heisman Trophy odds after three weeks of college football action.
