Top Football Games Of The Week Oct 9-15, 2018

Philadelphia Eagles -3 vs New York Giants
8:20 PM ET, Thursday, October 11th, 2018

This was a marquee Thursday Night Football game before the season started. Carson Wentz, and the defending Super Bowl Champions versus Odell, Eli, Saquon, and the G-men.

The Eagles are 2-3 and winless on the road. The Giants are 1-4 and winless at home. While both teams are on the verge of missing the playoffs, there is nothing that cures losing like blowing out a rival in front of a national prime-time audience.

#2 Georgia Bulldogs -7 +100 vs #13 LSU Tigers
3:30 PM, ET, Saturday, October 13th

Both squads are in the hunt for the college football playoff. Thirteenth-ranked LSU’s 27-19 loss as a 1-point favorite last week to the Gators hurt their cause. Second-ranked Georgia is undefeated while being favored in every game so far this season. The 26-point favorite Bulldogs beat Vandy last week by a 41-13 score. Vanderbilt’s early field-goal put Georgia at a deficit for the first time this season. That lasted only 15 seconds.

Georgia is 13-16-1 all-time against LSU.

#7 Washington Huskies -3½ vs #17 Oregon Ducks
3:30 PM, ET, Saturday, October 13th

A mid-day Pac-12 conference showdown between the Washington Huskies and Oregon Ducks is a must watch game. On the line are bragging rights and a clear path to the division crown. A Huskies win will also keep Washington in the college football playoff conversation.

Wisconsin Badgers vs Michigan Wolverines -7½ -105
7:30 PM, ET, Saturday, October 13th

The Michigan Wolverines welcome the Wisconsin Badgers to the Big House in a prime-time Big Ten showdown. This will be an exciting defensive matchup. Michigan has the top-ranked total defense in the nation. The Badgers are tied with East Carolina for the seventeenth-ranked total defense.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cincinnati Bengals -2½
1 PM ET, Sunday, October 14th

An AFC North tilt between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals will blow the roof off Paul Brown Stadium this Sunday. The Bengals are atop the AFC North Division at 4-1 while Pittsburgh is dead last at 2-2-1.

The Steelers won both head-to-head matchups in 2017 by a combined score of 52-34.

Los Angeles Chargers -1½ vs Cleveland Browns
1 PM ET, Sunday, October 14th

The Cleveland Browns have won two games already and this week they host the Los Angeles Chargers at the Dawg Pound.

At 3-2, the Chargers are off to their best start since 2014 while the Browns are unbeaten at home (2-0-1) this season after last week’s ugly OT win over the Ravens.

Jacksonville Jaguars -2½ -120 vs Dallas Cowboys
4:25 PM ET, Sunday, October 14th

The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off a humbling 30-14 loss to the Chiefs making it a bad week to be a Cowboy. Dallas is coming off an equally disappointing loss. Houston beat the Cowboys 19-16 in OT. Calling the game will be former Cowboys’ QB Tony Romo. Jim Nantz will join him in the broadcast booth.

Kansas City Chiefs vs New England Patriots -3 -130
8:20 PM ET, Sunday, October 14th

The undefeated Kansas City Chiefs take their league-leading offense to Foxboro to tussle with the New England Patriots. Patrick "Showtime" Mahomes has been obliterating opposing defenses. Now he faces Bill Belichick who has had a long week to prepare. Belichick is known to neutralize the opponents top asset. Can Mahomes outscore Tom Brady and outplay Belichick’s game plan?

San Francisco 49ers vs Green Bay Packers -9½
8:15 PM ET, Monday, October 15th

Monday Night Football will be at Lambeau this week when the 49ers visit Green Bay. Injuries have hurt both teams. San Francisco lost QB Jimmy G to a season-ending knee injury. Aaron Rodgers is playing hurt for the Packers. His wide-receiver core has been decimated by various injuries as well.
