The NFL and College Football seasons are heating up. With just over a week left in October, you have time to get your Halloween costume and several top football games on the calendar. Keep reading for more of October’s must bet football games.
October’s Must Bet Football Games
No. 7 Georgia Bulldogs -7 vs. No. 9 Florida Gators in Jacksonville
3:30 PM ET, Saturday, October 27th
The annual Georgia vs Florida rivalry has some extra juice this year. Both teams are tied atop the SEC East division with Kentucky. The Bulldogs are coming off a bye and favored by a touchdown which is surprising after Georgia’s 20-point loss to LSU two weeks ago.
Florida is 3-1 straight up over the last four head-to-head games versus Georgia. That record jumps to 7-3 against the spread in favor of the Gators over the previous 10.
No. 14 Washington State at No. 24 Stanford -3
7 PM ET, Saturday, October 27th
I could not have predicted a pair of top-20 teams from the Pac-12 will be squaring off in such an important game so late in the season.
Washington State is the only one-loss team remaining in the Pac-12. The Cougars are also the Pac-12’s last hope at sending a team to the college football playoffs. A win by Stanford kills that.
Philadelphia Eagles -3 at Jacksonville Jaguars in London
9:30 AM ET, Sunday, October 29th
Stand up if you have never been a fan of the super early NFL London games. But this week’s Eagles vs. Jags tilt in London looks like a winner for spectators, fans and bettors alike.
Since the international series began in 2007, the favored team has gone 17-5-1 straight-up and 14-9 ATS. Logic dictates to bet on the one field-goal favorite Eagles who make their first trip to London.
However, there is an exception to each rule. And the Jags are the exception this time. Jacksonville has been an underdog in three straight visits to London. They have not only covered the betting spread, but they’ve won all three games straight-up.
Denver Broncos at Kansas Chiefs -10
1 PM ET, Sunday, October 29th
Can anyone stop the Kansas City Chiefs? Betting on KC has been free money so far with payouts on seven straight covers by the Chiefs. That record goes to 11 ATS wins if you go back to last season.
The visiting Broncos are winless in their last six against KC. That includes a tilt earlier this year when the Chiefs won 27-23 covering as a 3.5-point favorite.
Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers -8
1 PM ET, Sunday, October 29th
Since coming into the league in 2004, Big Ben has been money straight-up when facing Cleveland. He is 25-3-1 SU against the Browns. However, Cleveland has gone 16-12-1 against the spread in those 29 games. And more recently the Browns are 3-0-1 ATS against the Steelers. That tie was earlier this season when the two played to a 21-21 final in OT. The Steelers were favored by 3.5-points in that game.
Indianapolis Colts -3 -105 at Oakland Raiders
4:05 PM ET, Sunday, October 29th
Amari Cooper is a Cowboy now after Khalil Mack was traded during the preseason. Jon Gruden is rebuilding the Raiders in his image. He has stocked up THREE first round picks in the 2019 draft.
There’s more good news for Gruden is this week Oakland hosts the Colts who always struggle on the west coast. Indy is 0-4 straight-up and against the spread in its last four PST games.
Green Bay Packers -9 at Los Angeles Rams
4:25 PM ET, Sunday, October 29th
Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have never been as big of underdogs as they are this week when they visit the NFL’s last undefeated team. The hometown Los Angeles Rams are 9-point home favorites to beat Rodgers. If the line stands, it will represent the largest betting spread by which Rodgers has been an underdog in his career.
The Rams are 4-2-1 against the spread and have been favored by at least 6.5 points in every game so far in 2018. Green Bay is 3-2-1 and coming off their bye. The Packers are 2-4 ATS and will enter the contest as underdogs for the third time this season. Green Bay fans are betting on the fact that Aaron Rodgers is 4-0 SU and ATS versus the Rams.
