Trending NFL Spreads, Moneyline Odds, O/U Totals Week 5

LA Rams (3-1) at Seattle (3-1)
Thursday, Oct 2, 2019 at 8:20 PM ET
Spread: PK
Moneyline: -110
O/U: 49
TV: FOX/NFL

The Rams gave up an insane 55 points in Sunday’s stunning home loss against Tampa Bay, but that’s not the worst part. No, with quarterback Jared Goff tossing three interceptions and looking like the same shell-shocked quarterback we saw in last season’s Super Bowl, Russell Wilson and Seattle are looking like an excellent bet to extract some payback in Week 5.

Atlanta (1-3) at Houston (2-2)
Sunday, Oct 6, 2019 at 1:00 PM ET
Spread: Houston -5
Moneyline: Atlanta +190
O/U: 49
TV: FOX

The Falcons and Texans both looked mediocre at best while scoring an identical 10 points in their respective Week 4 losses to Tennessee and Carolina, making this Week 5 matchup of pick for the lesser of two evils. With the Texans at home and Deshaun Watson now better than Matt Ryan, the Falcons are clearly facing an uphill battle to avoid a dismal 1-4 start.

Tampa Bay (2-2) at New Orleans (3-1)
Sunday, Oct 6, 2019 at 1:00 PM ET
NFL Odds: New Orleans -3½
Moneyline: Tampa Bay +155
O/U: 47½
TV: FOX

The much-maligned Jameis Winston and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers opened up a can on the L.A. Rams on Sunday by scoring 55-points and beating the OVER by themselves. On the flip side, the Teddy Bridgewater led New Orleans Saints have won two in a row without Drew Brees on the strength of special teams and defense.

Minnesota (2-2) at NY Giants (2-2)
Sunday, Oct 6, 2019 at 1:00 PM ET
NFL Odds: Minnesota -4½
Moneyline: N/A
O/U: 45
TV: FOX

Kirk Cousins and Minnesota’s offense got wholly shut down in their 16-6 Week 4 road loss to Chicago while New York won their second straight with rookie Daniel Jones under center. Still, I’m expecting Vikings defensive-minded head coach Mike Zimmer to confuse the heck out of Jones in Week 5 with several looks he definitely never faced a year ago when he was leading Duke.

Chicago (3-1) vs Oakland (2-2) from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – London
Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019 at 1:00 PM ET
NFL Odds: Chicago -5
Moneyline: Oakland +190
O/U: 41½
TV: FOX

Sure, Derek Carr and the Raiders were impressive in their upset road win over Indianapolis this past weekend, but after watching Khalil Mack and the Bears defense obliterate Kirk Cousins, Dalvin Cook and the rest of Minnesota’s offense in Week 4, Chicago is looking great heading into Week 5 – especially if Mitch Trubisky doesn’t see the field.

Baltimore (2-2) at Pittsburgh (0-3)
Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019 at 1:00 PM ET
NFL Odds: Baltimore -3½
Moneyline: Pittsburgh +160
O/U: 42½
TV: CBS

Lamar Jackson still needs to improve as a passer as evidenced by his lackluster performance in Sunday’s humbling loss to Cleveland, but I’m expecting Baltimore’s stout defense to give Mason Rudolph fits in this one no matter how the young signal-caller looks on Monday night against division rival Cincinnati.

N.Y. Jets (0-3) at Philadelphia (2-2)
Sunday, Oct 6, 2019 at 1:00 PM ET
NFL Odds: Philadelphia -14
Moneyline: New York Jets +500
O/U: 44½
TV: CBS

The Jets have looked almost completely inept through three games, and they desperately need quarterback Sam Darnold back under center if they are to have any chance at salvaging an already lost season. Conversely, Philly might have found a winning formula after featuring former Bears Pro Bowl running back and rookie Miles Sanders in their thrilling win over Green Bay. Even as two-touchdown home faves, the Birds have the look of a team that will cover the spread in this one with room to spare.

Green Bay (3-1) at Dallas (3-1)
Sunday, Oct 6, 2019 at 4:25 PM ET
NFL Odds: Dallas -3½
Moneyline: Green Bay +160
O/U: 47½
TV: FOX

What a difference a week makes with Green Bay and Dallas both suffering their respective first losses of the season this past weekend. After watching the Packers run defense get shredded by Philly this past weekend, Ezekiel Elliott looks like he could be in for a massive day in this intriguing Week 5 matchup of NFC playoff hopefuls.

Indianapolis (2-2) at Kansas City (4-0)
Sunday, Oct 6, 2019 at 8:20 PM ET
NFL Odds: Kansas City -10½
Moneyline: Indianapolis +425
O/U: 57
TV: NBC

The Colts suffered a surprising home loss against Oakland this past weekend, but Patrick Mahomes and the explosive Chiefs struggled to get past a clearly underrated Detroit Lions squad. While Mahomes and the Chiefs are definitely going to be tough to beat at Arrowhead Stadium in this one, the near double-digit spread makes Indy look attractive at the very least to cover the chalk as a road dog.

Cleveland (2-2) at San Francisco (3-0)
Monday, Oct 7, 2019 at 8:15 PM ET
NFL Odds: San Francisco -3½
Moneyline: Cleveland +170
O/U: 47½
TV: ESPN

The Browns looked fantastic in this convincing win over Baltimore this past weekend, but the Niners will be well-rested following their Week 4 bye, not to mention Frisco is ranked fourth in scoring and eighth in points allowed and playing at home in this suddenly intriguing Week 5 inter-conference clash!
